sorry for the late reply, hope it’s not too late and we are still useful:)
I personally haven’t seen the movie but it’s obvious what is it about. In a persuasive essay you need to state your point of view clearly and prove it so that the reader has nothing to do but to give up and start supporting you:) You need to include different facts which you can remember from, say, watching National Geographic Channel or find in the Internet and interpret these facts, making the reader come to a conclusion that you’re right.
The last shocking facts I heard regarding your topic is that sharks kill only 5 people/year average – much less than lions, snakes, and even elephants, sharks have almost human-like behaviour where they have their own personal hierarchy needs and social needs, while we, people, kill 100 million sharks per year for their fins (used for cooking a soup)
